McDevitt Lancers in a nutshell...

Bishop McDevitt is a Roman Catholic high school located in Wyncote, PA. The school has two ice hockey teams, Varsity and Junior Varsity (JV).

Mr. Chris Waddell coaches the Varsity team and Mr. Justin Adamski coaches the JV team. Practices are held at the Old York Road Ice Rink in Elkins Park, PA.

McDevitt plays in the Suburban High School Hockey League (SHSHL). All of our scores and statistics are recorded and posted there. We are also a part of USA Hockey.

So you'd like to play ice hockey...

We can't say we blame you (but we're a little biased). To join the team, you must be a current McDevitt student, an incoming freshman, or an 8th grader. No ice hockey experience is necessary. Players can be male or female. Players are placed on either the Varsity or JV team based on their skills. NO ONE IS CUT! EVERYONE PLAYS!

We are also looking for interested 5th to 8th graders to play in our middle school program. The program is designed to teach middle schoolers the basics of ice hockey in a fun atmosphere.
